This Privacy Policy describes how OpenNate ("the service," "we") handles your information when you use the OpenNate SMS personal assistant program.
Information we collect
- Your mobile phone number, provided when you opt in by texting START.
- The content of messages you send to the service, and our replies.
We do not collect payment information, location data, or contact lists through this program.
How we use it
- To deliver the service: responding to your messages and sending the reminders and notifications you request.
- To maintain conversation context so the assistant can respond usefully.
- To comply with opt-out requests and messaging regulations.
Sharing
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Messages are transmitted through Twilio Inc., our SMS delivery provider, solely to deliver the service. No other sharing occurs except where required by law.
Retention and security
Message history is retained only as long as needed to operate the service and is stored on infrastructure controlled by the operator. You may request deletion of your data at any time using the contact below.
Opting out
Reply STOP to any message to cancel. You will receive one final confirmation message and nothing further. Reply HELP for help.
Children
The service is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy; the current version will always be published at this page with its effective date.
